Buying a real Christmas tree in Miami.

A real tree, Miami style

Miami celebrates the holidays with palm trees and sunshine, but a fresh-cut fir still brings that unmistakable Christmas scent indoors. Real trees are grown far from South Florida, so where you buy matters: look for a lot that receives fresh arrivals throughout the season rather than a single early shipment.

Bella Christmas Trees has been family owned and operated since 2000. Our lot at 17091 Biscayne Blvd. in Aventura is a short drive up Biscayne Boulevard or I‑95 from much of Miami-Dade, and our trees arrive several times during the season.

Choose a variety that suits your home

Fraser firs are a popular choice for their sturdy branches and neat, conical shape, which makes them a good match for heavier ornaments. Balsam firs are known for their rich fragrance, and Douglas firs offer soft, full branches. Blue and White spruces bring a different color and texture if you want something distinctive.

Many Miami homes and condos have generous ceiling heights. Measure from the floor to the ceiling before you shop, and leave room for the stand and your topper. Tables, tall windows and balcony doors are worth noting too.

Plan for condos and high-rises

If you live in a Brickell, Downtown, Edgewater or Miami Beach building, check your building’s delivery rules before the tree arrives. Some buildings require service elevator reservations, delivery windows or a certificate of insurance from vendors.

Include your unit number, gate or concierge instructions and the best phone number in your order request. For larger trees, ask our team whether the size you love will fit comfortably in the elevator and through the door.

Keep it fresh in the heat

Make a fresh cut at the base and place the tree in water as soon as possible. Check the water level every day, especially in the first week, when a tree can drink a surprising amount.

Keep the tree away from heating vents, fireplaces and sunny windows, and run your air conditioning at a comfortable temperature. Use lights that are in good condition and turn them off when you leave home or go to bed.
